Cycling Australia Diaries
| Monday 29th September 2003 | 78km (5170km) | Day 75 of 77 |
Today was one of our hardest days, over 12 hours on the bikes and we only managed to cover 78kms. Both of us were falling off our bikes every couple of minutes today. We had hoped to reach the Jardine River ferry before 5pm, but we were lucky to make it there at all. We pushed very hard the last hour after sunset in complete darkness, unable to maneuver around sandy sections. Tim's last tyre has worn right through and could blow at any minute.
