Rising at 5:30am on our first day, we set off with 5 other companions down to Wilsons Promontory National Park. Hiked 20km down to the southern most campsite, Roaring Meg, and camped the night.

| Friday 18th July 2003 | 76km (96km) | Day 2 of 77 |
Rose early in the morning and hiked down to the southern most point of mainland Australia then dashed back to Tidal River. Wasted the latter part of the afternoon stuffing down chicken burgers and fixing/packing the bikes. Didn't get away from the Prom until dusk and cycled until 2am through bitter cold and rain. Slept under small shelter next to the public toilets in Meenian.
| Saturday 19th July 2003 | 155km (251km) | Day 3 of 77 |
Faced a very hilly 30km section to Korrumburra where we ate a much needed brunch at Kelly's Bakery. Pushed on to Melboure the remaining 150km and arrived in the city at 8pm. Slept well.
