25th September - 15th October

Upon my arrival at Birdsville, I had around $300 and 10 days to wait until my parents arrived with my car. The town has a population of 100, and everything is very expensive. I spent those days eating the cheapest and most filling food I could find, and camping out in the same small tent. While temperatures past 40° daily, I tried to find air-conditioned rooms wherever I could. Once my parents rescued me from Birdsville, we went back into the Simpson Desert to collect the rubbish/boxes I left buried in the ground.
